Questions about Celestia
Does Celestia work on Apple silicon?
We haven’t verified that yet. If Celestia has a native or Universal build, it runs on Apple silicon without Rosetta 2; if it is Intel-only, it needs Rosetta 2.
Does Celestia need Rosetta 2?
Only if your copy is Intel-only. Check it in Finder: File › Get Info, then “Kind”. “Application (Intel)” means it needs Rosetta 2 and stops opening in macOS 28.
How can I keep using Celestia after macOS 28?
If your copy is Intel-only: stay on macOS 27, look for a native version or an alternative, or run it in a macOS 27 virtual machine — Keep86 is built for that.
