Download Beta
Short answer: Download Keep86, drag it to Applications and run one Terminal command so macOS opens this independently signed build. Then open Keep86 and start the free 7-day trial with just your email address — no card needed. Keep86 needs an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 27 or later.

Keep86 is in public beta: updates arrive often while we test it with more apps.
Install Keep86 in three steps
Drag Keep86 to Applications
Open the downloaded disk image and drag Keep86 onto the Applications folder.
Run one Terminal command
Open Terminal (Applications › Utilities), paste the command below and press Return.
Terminal commandxattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Keep86.appOpen Keep86
Open Keep86 from Applications. The crow appears in the menu bar and the setup starts.
Why the Terminal step?
Keep86 is an independent app. This build is signed by us, not with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS quarantines the download and blocks it the first time you open it. The command removes that quarantine mark from Keep86 only and changes nothing else on your Mac. You need it once per download from this page; updates installed from inside Keep86 don’t need it.
System requirements
- Mac: Apple silicon (M1 or newer) with macOS 27 or later
- Memory: 16 GB recommended (8 GB is enough for light apps)
- Disk space: about 65 GB free during setup, about 40 GB afterwards
- Internet: for the one-time macOS 27 download from Apple and for licence refreshes
Intel Macs don’t need Keep86: they run Intel apps natively.
